Fee Neutral Period for Filing Registers of Directors extended to 31 December, 2016

The BVI Financial Services Commission has issued the below notice on 26 September 2016:

The Commission has advised Cabinet as required, and anticipates confirmation of its recommendation to extend the fee neutral (free filing) period to 31 December, 2016 for filing Registers of Directors on behalf of BVI business companies.

Cabinet confirmation of the Order enabling the extension is expected prior to the original deadline of 30 September, 2016.  Once the extension has been approved and confirmed, an existing BVI Business Company (one on the register at 1 April, 2016 when the requirement took effect) will have until 31 December, 2016 to make the initial filing of its Register of Directors.
