BVI House Asia Participates In 18th China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen

SHENZHEN, November 21, 2016BVI House Asia took part in the 18th China Hi-Tech Fair held in Shenzhen from November 16 to 21 at the invitation of the Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office.

While BVI House Asia accepted the invitation to set up a booth to promote BVI Financial Services at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre in the spirit of cooperation and good relations, staff were initially skeptical about marketing financial services at a hi-tech fair.

However, the wisdom of the decision quickly became apparent. More than 3,500 exhibitors from 37 countries participated in the fair, and the six-day event attracted 600,000 visitors from China and 97 other countries and regions around the world.

The BVI Finance booth was located in Hall 1, the biggest of eight halls at the exhibition centre. The booth received more than 400 visitors in the first three days of the fair, which was open only to tech professionals. The official at the booth received various questions relating to the jurisdiction and its financial services.

The last three days of the fair were opened to all Shenzhen citizens. Roughly 300 people visited the BVI booth during this period. In addition, all BVI Asia Trade Mission brochures and gifts were given out. On the last day of the fair, with only one copy of the brochure available, visitors took photos of the back cover to capture the BVI’s contact details.
